This shot of the north side of Dunstanburgh Castle was taken in April 2011 using a long exposure with an infrared filter to only capture those wavelengths of light. The end result of infrared photography is often haunting, with different surfaces reflecting infrared light in unexpected ways, giving a different presentation of well-known features.
